The stallion, Diamond Bill is noted for his easy disposition and produces athletic sport horses. He and his 2006 foals can be seen Online at Oakwood Farm. He is a grown ranch horse today and can be seen on the trails on this page: Ranch Horses and Double Diamondbeing used on the trails. |
Peaceful Meadows Farm has moved from
Yoncalla, Oregon to Meridian, Idaho, a suburb of Boise, Idaho. The horses have had to adjust
from their lovely, lush meadows to a dryer desert basin environment. The irrigated, tall
grassy fields have a peaceful view of the Owhyee Mountains and the Bogus Basin. The air is
dryer, their hair much woollier, but they have adjusted well. Rugged mountain riding is
just a stone's throw away, and the desert basin offers miles of desert trails to keep them
sharp and conditioned. We still have a couple broodmares and will start breeding them again
this spring. Our foals are imprinted at birth, making them easy to handle and train.
Our Horses work cattle, do ranch work, and spend many hours on the trail. They are smooth
headed and easy to handle, train, work and ride. Their offspring are ready for all around
AQHA Championship events. We take pride in our "hands on" approach to training,
consistently producing horses that load easily, quietly tie, and stand for the farrier.
They have pleasant dispositions and good all around ground manners. Be sure to check out
the slide shows of Oregon Cascade Mountain (Slideshow 1) and Idaho (Slideshow 2) rides.
Soon there will be more scenery to explore deep in them thar hills of Idaho.
May you always ride a good horse.
